NATIONAL D - WORMING DAY ON 14.03.2023
2. DO Letter No. Rc.No.315/RBSK/NHM/2023, Dated:07/03/2023 of the Principal secretary to Government, Health, Medical and Family Welfare, AP Secretariat, Velagapudi, Guntur District.
The attention of all the R.J.D.S.ES., D.E.OS & APCs in the state are invited to the references cited, wherein the Govt. of AP has planned to implement the 15" round of anganwadi and school/junior college based NDD programme on 14.03.2023 followed by mop up day (MUD) on 18.03.2023 in 24 districts (out of 26) except vizianagaram and parvathipuram Manyam districts as the said two districts have already implemented LF MDA on 10.02.2023.
In this regard the Govt. of AP has directed to conduct Deworming Day on 14.03.2023 to cover all the School Children with the support and the Coordination of School Education, Intermediate Education, Women & Child Welfare department, Tribal Welfare department, Municipal Administration department, juvenile Department and Panchayatraj department with Health and Family Welfare is very much essential for proper implementation of the Programme.
In view of the above the following instructions are hereby issued to all the R.J.D.S.Es., D.E.Os & APCs in the state to implement the programme on 14.03.2023 and make it a grand success.
1. All the District Educational Officers in the State are here by appointed as Nodal Officers in their Districts and to coordinate with the DM&HO and to see that the Medicine reach every School point well in advance.
2. The District Educational Officers should instruct all the M.E.Os/H.Ms of all Schools in their jurisdiction to see that every student is covered under this Programme.
3. All H.Ms to give vide publicity and explain the importance of the Deworming and mop-up day to the children through
1. School Assembly
II. School Management Committee Meeting
III. Parents-Teachers Meeting
iv. To write on the Block board in each class room from 08.03.2023 on wards and every teacher to discuss one minute before commencement of class about the importance of the National Deworming Day.
V. And other sources, if any.
4. Students should consume the medicine after lunch and at their class room only, and preferably take 100 to 200 ml. Drinking Water.
