Pension- Public Servants - Adopt & Implement the orders of the Department of Pension & PW, Govt of India dated 17.02.2020 - Who were appointed on or after 01.09.2004 and selection process was completed prior to the date

The attention is invited on the subject and references cited.

2. In the reference 2" cited all the Secretariat departments are requested to obtain the information from the HoDs under their control regarding the employees, where results for recruitment were declared before 01.09.2004 (CPS adoption date in the AP State) against the vacancies occurring on or before 31.08.2004 but joined duty on or after 01.09.2004.

3. In this regard to avoid delay it is decided to convene a meeting with the HoDs at MLO level on 14" September, 2022 at 3.00 pm in the conference hall of Finance Department at 2" Block, A.P. Secretariat. Therefore all the secretariat departments are here by requested to obtain the above information from your concerned HoDs and the same may be furnish to this department, so as to take further steps in the matter.

4. Further, all the Secretariat Departments are requested to follow up accordingly and direct the MLO concerned from the HoDs to attend the said meeting without fail.

Government of India vide Office Memorandum 1° cited have issued guidelines for extending the benefit of the pension scheme under Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 1972 on the ground that the appointment was delayed on account of administrative reasons or lapse. As such, they have offered one time -• option for covering under CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972 to all cases where results for recruitment were declared before 01.01.2004 against the vacancies occurring on or before 31.12.2003.

2. In this regard files received from the departments 2" & 3" cited and School Education department have so far confirmed the eligible number of teachers/employees as 6510 in the department with breakup.

3. In view of the above all the Secretariat departments are requested to obtain the information from the HoDs under their control regarding the employees, where results for recruitment were declared before 01.09.2004 (CPS adoption date in the AP State) against the vacancies occurring on or before 31.08.2004 but joined duty on or after 01.09.2004. The Secretariat departments may consolidated the information and furnish to this department with HoD wise post wise break-up comprehensively in a tabular format with total number, so as to take a policy decision in this matter.
