ORDER:
In reference 2nd read above, the Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has informed that the Government of Andhra Pradesh, has proposed to support the students belonging to BPL families in transforming their lives digitally and also help the students during pandemic situation to attend classes online. For this, it has been proposed to provide LAPTOPS to the willing students under Jagananna Vasathi Deevena. The two models of Laptops i.e., Model-I with basic configuration & Model-2 with advanced configuration with the following specifications have been finalized.
2. The Chairman, APSCHE has further stated that procurement of Laptops may be entrusted to the Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Technology Services (APTS) and he may be requested to come up with the modalities for supply and maintenance. In case of maintenance, it should be entrusted that any maintenance issue shall have to be addressed within (7) days from the date of reporting of the problem and Grama/Ward Sachivalayam shall be the nodal point for reporting and redressing the grievance. He, has therefore, requested to issue necessary orders for providing Laptops to eligible and willing students in place of Financial Assistance under Jagananna Vasathi Deevena for the students studying Higher Education for the Academic year 2021-22.
3. In the circumstances reported by the Chairman, APSCHE, after careful examination of the matter, Government hereby order to provide Laptops to the eligible and willing students in place of Financial Assistance, to the students studying Higher Education under Jagananna Vasathi Deenena for the Academic Year 2021-22, in two Configuration processers i.e (i) Model-I (Basic Configuration), (ii) Model-II (Advance Configuration) mentioned at para-1 above and the procurement of laptops entrusted to the Managing Director, APTS, duly obtaining the modalities for supply and maintenance.
