Appointment of District level School Games Secretaries

School Games Federation of Andhra Pradesh – Appointment of District level School Games Secretaries for the tenure of two (02) years i.e., 2024-2025 & 2025-2026 – Instructions – Issued.

The attention of all District Educational Officers and District Vocational Educational Officers in the state is drawn to the reference cited above. It is to inform that the School Games Selections are set to commence from September 2024. There is an urgent requirement to nominate District-level School Games Organizing Secretaries from among the Physical Education Teachers (SA-PE/PET) for the Under 14 and 17 categories, and Junior Lecturers in Physical Education for the Under 19 category.

In this connection, the Ananthapur, Prakasam, Annamayya, SPSR Nellore, YSR Kadapa and Tirupathi are 6/9 Women Physical Education teachers workings as District School Games Secretaries in the State vide memo 3rd cited, the remaining's District Educational Officers of Srikakulam, Chittoor, and Vizianagaram are strictly required to follow the instructions for nominating's Women Physical Education teachers as District School Games Secretaries.

Terms and Conditions while appointing District School Games Secretaries U 14,17 & 19 and their duties

1. The tenure of the post of District School Games Secretaries U 14,17 &19 is two (2) years.

2. Those who are appointed on or before 31-10-2022in the Academic year 2022-2023 must be replaced and those who are appointed in the year 2023-2024 may be continued to 2024-2025

3. The Senior/Active Willings School Assistant-Physical Education among the seniors. If no senior candidate is not willings in the above cadre we can take the services of senior most PET who is Willings to work in School Education for Under 14&17 years and Junior Lecturer in Physical Education in the Junior Colleges must be nominated for Under 19 years.

4. If a Junior Lecturer in Physical Education is not available for Under 19 Secretaries in the Junior Colleges, the District Intermediate Vocational Officers should inform to this office immediately so as to allocate the same to Under 14,17 Secretary for the smooth and successful conduct of games and sports.

5. Preference should be given to Physical Education Teachers (SA- PE/PET) workings in Government/Zilla Parishad, Municipal, and Aided Schools, whereas under 19 the preference should be Govt. Junior/APSWR/APREIS and Aided Junior Colleges.

6. Those who are goings to be retired below 2 years are not eligible to nominate the District School Games Secretary.

7. The SA (PE) who is likely to set a promotion within two months as Headmaster / MEO / Lecturer in DIET / RIPE shall not be considered.

8. In case a selected District School Games Secretary is promoted as HM /MEO/ Lecturer DIET / RIPE, immediately he/she shall be replaced with another PD/SA (PE) duly selected as per the procedure prescribed above.

9. Any SA-PE/PET who has already served one term as District School Games Secretary earlier cannot be nominated again.

10.If any person is under Disciplinary action initiated by the concerned authorities, there is no eligibility for appointment as a District School Games Secretary.

11.Any Irregularities made by the District School Games Secretary can be terminated from the post at any time.

Therefore, all the District Educational officers (DEO) and District and District Vocational Educational officers (DVEO) in the state are requested to nominate the district school games Secretaries under 14,17 for School Education and under19 for Intermediate Education immediately in place
