Concept Note: Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Session
for School Heads
The primary objective of this session
is to equip school heads with the principles and skills of Nonviolent
Communication (NVC) to enhance interpersonal communication, resolve conflicts,
and create a more harmonious and empathetic school environment.
Session Overview:
In this 40-minute session,
participants will be introduced to the core concepts of Nonviolent
Communication. The session will include interactive discussions, practical
exercises, and reflection to promote a deeper understanding of NVC principles
and their application in educational leadership.
Agenda:
Introduction
(5 mins):
● Welcome and
introduction to Nonviolent Communication.
● Brief overview of the session's
objectives. Understanding NVC (05 mins):
● Explanation
of the four components of NVC: Observation, Feeling, Need, and Request.
● Illustrative examples to demonstrate
the application of NVC in real-life scenarios. Interactive Activity (10 mins):
● Group
activity to practice NVC skills.
● Role-playing exercises to simulate common communication
challenges faced by school heads.
Application
in Leadership (10 mins):
● Discussion
on integrating NVC principles into leadership and decision-making.
