The Government vide reference 1st read above,
accorded administrative sanction approval
for improving infrastructure facilities in 22344 Schools
and other educational institutions with a total budget outlay of Rs. 8000
Crores, under Phase-II of Mana Badi Nadu-Nedu Programme.
As part of the Nadu Nedu 10 Components, Kitchen Sheds are being constructed. It should be noted that kitchen Shed Repairs and Construction are an essential component of Nadu Nedu Program.
All the District Education Officers, Additional Project Coordinators and Executive Engineers of the concerned implementing agencies are directed to take up the Kitchen shed work as it is an essential component. The Construction/Repairs of kitchen shed should be limited for cooking purpose and area only. Dining halls, extension of kitchen sheds to create dining space, seating arrangements etc., should not be taken up under Nadu Nedu Program
