School Education – New Education Policy 2020 – co-location of anganwadi Centers and primary schools – taking up of detailed mapping exercise – Orders issued-regarding.
As per the New Education Policy, the first 5 years of schooling consists of two years of pre-primary and one year of preparatory 1st class along with class 1 & 2. In order to ensure that the foundational stage of 1st five years of schooling is strengthened, it is proposed to co-locate the AWC and Primary schools wherever possible.
Hence the District Educational Officers are requested to issue instructions to MEO’s to map the primary schools with anganwadi centers in their mandals in the google spread sheet given below wherein the preliminary data will be auto populated as per child information system:
The Mandal Educational Officer have to update the following information and furnish the following important on or before 13.05.2021 and in consultation with project officers of ICDS concerned:
a. Extent of Site available within the school premises (cents).

▪️సూచనలు, గూగుల్ లింక్ క్రింది వెబ్ పేజీలో కలవు
b. Distance on the AWC from the school, AWC within the location.
c. Whether AWC has permanent building/Building under construction.
d. If any, natural barrier between the school and AWC (Highway, Railway Track, Cannel, pond/tanks). (Yes/NO)
Therefore, all the District Educational officers are hereby requested to constitute the special cell and issue instructions to Mandal Educational Officers for updation the above google spread sheet on or before 13.05.2021 without fail. Top priority should be given to this item of work. Any lapses in this regard will be viewed seriously. If the Mandal Education Officer is on leave or in home isolation, the work may be entrusted to a senior headmaster in the mandal duly giving him the necessary MRC staff and if required CRPs also.
