1.All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are informed that in the reference cited, the Vice Chancellor, National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi has informed the Principal Secretary, School Education with a request to nominate four (4) District and (6) Block Level Education Officers for the consideration of National Award for Innovation and Good Practices in Educational Administration for District and Block Level Education Officers.
2. In view of the above, the nominations are invited from the eligible officers who have made remarkable contributions in educational administration through their innovative initiatives and good practices for the consideration of National Award for the year 2018-19 & 2019-20 on or before 26th December, 2020. The filled in applications shall reach to the Director, SCERT on or before 26th December, 2020 so as to send to NEIPA by 31st December 2020

Who are eligible to apply?
• Serving district and block level education officers((District Education Officers/ DDPI/ DDSE/ Deputy Directors posted in districts, Deputy Education Officers/ Block Education Officers/ Assistant Education Officers/ Mandal Education Officers/ Deputy BEOs, or other such officers working at district or block levels designated differently in different states and UTs)
Not eligible to apply
• Officers placed under suspension/ any vigilance case initiated or pending against them/ disciplinary proceedings in progress or disciplinary action taken against them are not eligible to apply.
How to send the application:
The eligible applicants may send their filled in applications as per the format indicated in Information Brochure of the National Awards for Innovations and Good Practices in Educational Administration for the consideration of the award, duly forwarded by the state level educational administrators (Principal Secretary/Secretary, School Education or Commissioner / Director School Education/ or SPD of SSA and RMSA) and routed through the department of education of the state/ UTs.

Selection and Awards
• Selection for the awards is done on the basis of multi-stage screening and evaluation of the applications by the expert committees and field based validation of the c• Awards or Certificate of Appreciation will be given to the selected cases of innovation in the National Award Presentation Function in New Delhi, usually coinciding with a two-day National Conference on Innovation in Educational Administration and Management tentatively.
