Physical Literacy Policy frame work / guidelines covering Goals &
Objectives
for
Physical Literacy curriculum in
schools, Institutional Framework, Implementation
Plan, Governance Framework, Finance & Budget, Implementation of Yoga; and Resource Institutes of Physical Literacy (RIPL)
including the activities/Implementation Plan.
2. Physical
Literacy, is described as the motivation,
confidence,
physical
competence, knowledge and understanding to maintain physical activity throughout the life course. Physical Literacy is as important as reading and writing. Absence/lack
of
Physical Literacy
impacts growth, development,
happiness, productivity and life expectancy of citizens. Physical
literacy
is
the foundation for developing the skills, knowledge, and attitudes
needed
for citizens to lead healthy, active lives throughout their
life time.
