are invited for Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test (AP Ed CET) 2017.
A Common Entrance Test, designated as Education Common Entrance Test-2017
(Ed.CET-2017) will be conducted by the Converner, AP Ed.CET-2017, Institute of
Advanced Study in Education, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati on behalf of
the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education for admission into B.Ed
Regular Course in the Colleges of Education in Andhra

academic year 2017-2017 namely viz. Govt., Universities, Aided and Private
Eligibility
Requirements
Candidates
satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for AP
Ed.CET-2017
(i) The
Candidates should be Indian Nationals
(ii) The
Candidates should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as laid down in
the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order
1974 as subsequently amended
Educational
Qualifications
a) Candidates
should have passed/appearing for final year examinations of B.A/B.Sc/B.Sc (Home
Science)/B.Com/ BCA/BBM at the time of submitting the Application for AP
Ed.CET-2017
b)
Candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree
i.e. B.A/B.Sc/B.Sc (Home Science)/B.Com/BCA/BBM and or in the Masters Degree in
relevant subject or 5 years integrated course in the relevant subject of
methodology or any other qualification equivalent thereto
However,
the candidates belonging to all other reserved categories i.e SC/ST/BC
(A/B/C/D/E), and physically handicapped should have secured a minimum of 40%
marks in the qualifying exam
Age
limit: The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on 01st July of
the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit
Eligibility
Criteria for the choice of subject under Part C
Mathematics:
Candidate with B.A/B.Sc with Mathematics as one of the group subjects or BCA
candidates with Mathematics at intermediate levels as group subject
Physical
Sciences: Candidates with B.Sc who have studied Physics and Chemistry or Allied
Material Sciences under Part-II group subjects or BCA candidates with Physical
Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at intermediate level as group subject
Biological
Science: Candidates with B.Sc/B.Sc (Home Sciences) who have studied Botany and
Zoology or Allied Life Sciences under Part-II group subjects or BCA candidates
with Biological Sciences at intermediate level as group subject
Social
Studies: All candidates with B.A /B.Com /BBM or BCA candidates with Social
Sciences at intermediate level as group subject
English:
Candidates with B.A Special English or M.A. English
Medium of
Entrance Test
The
question paper will be in English and Telugu except for English Methodology.
However, candidates opting to write the Entrance Test in Urdu medium will be
served with Urdu paper and such candidates shall opt either Hyderabad or
Kurnool as Test Centre

Vizianagaram, Chittoor, Vishakhapatnam, Tirupati, Kakinada, Kuppam,
Rajahmundry, Kadapa, Eluru, Proddatur, Vijayawada, Anantapur, Guntur, Nandyal,
Ongole and Kurnool
