MDM - OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHME
Providing adequate, balanced, tasty, and quality nutritional support to students in a professional and scientific manner, under improved and hygienic conditions, through constant and continuous monitoring, is essential for implementing the PM POSHAN (MDM) Scheme. This aims to enhance the learning outcomes of students. The additional objectives include.

INITIATIVES TAKEN BY STATE GOVERNMENT
State Government provides MDM to 7,14,899 children of classes IX & X. Rs.1164.21 Cr. budget have released. Govt.of A.P, increased the Honorarium for CCHs to Rs.3000/- pm. The State Govt. additionally sanctioned Rs.156.20 Cr. for Honorarium CCHs @ Rs.2000/- PM in addition to Rs.1000/- PM
As a part of the scheme, Ragi Java is being provided 3 days in a week on Non Chikki days and it is prepared with ingredients of 10 grams of Ragi flour and 10 grams of Jaggery powder cooked in 150 ml of hot water for each student., Ragi Java contains nutritive values of Iron, calcium etc., which will be beneficial to students supply made by the Satya Sai Central Trust on free of Cost
The programme has shown many positive effects. Many parents who couldn't send their children to schools due to poverty, were eager to get their children free nutritious food and this incentivized them to send their children to school. The Midday Meal Scheme increased the number of school- going children
